Weigh In
I keep looking at my little girls and thinking that Dottie and Flower may need to eat a little less! I finally got out their adoption paperwork and checked their weight from when we got them. Dottie weighed the same and Flower and Candy have gained a half pound, so it’s not as bad as I thought. I was surprised that Flower, at 14.5 pounds, weighs a half pound more than Dottie.
I think Candy is at a good weight, at 11.5. I also weighed Nigel, since we are trying to get him to gain weight after his illness. I didn’t weigh him when he got here, but Delores had told me he weighed about 9 pounds. He weighed 10.5 today.
Best Dressed
When I was at Ross Dress For Less today, I couldn’t resist looking at pet stuff. I saw the cutest little houndstooth dress. It looked pretty small, but I thought it might fit Candy. I also saw a black sweater with a skull on it that I thought would be perfect for Nigel. Nigel’s fit him just right. I thought Candy’s fit, but when John got home he thought it looked a little snug. I will have to take it back and see if I can find a larger size. John said it looked like Candy and Nigel were going to a school dance or something. It would have been cute to get their picture together, but I would have had to force them to sit together.
Candy looks so adorable and chic! Love the photos of the girls playing. Sadie weighs about 11lbs – perhaps a little more.
Too bad her dress was a little snug! Can you believe I went to four of the stores where I bought it trying to find a larger one, because I thought it was so cute. I could have just put her on a diet, but since she is the slimmest one, that wouldn’t work. 😉 I thought Sadie and Candy looked about the same size. Oh, and what a precious picture of those Great Danes on your site! I hope they get a good home soon!
Mom says I should be honest about these things … so my weight is about 15 lbs and Lily’s (oh horror !) a bit more than 17.5 lbs ! Yep, you finally convinced her that she bought giant monster shih tzus …
You are about Flower’s size. Does Lily push you around because she is bigger? Also, do shih tzus come bigger in Belgium? We would like to know all about you girls. Oh, and Mom said to ask you what treats and toys you have? She is always looking for treats for us. Do you ever chew on those green things?
Well, where do I start …
Lily does not push my around, just because she likes to sleep or take a nap or just doze off … But most probably she leaves me alone because she knows I am the boss, the leading lady here in the house !! Ok, mom’s taller and much bigger but she just lives here because I let her and because someone’s got to pay the bills 😉
It’s a Shih tzu thing to come bigger, the country does not really matter, it’s the attitude that makes the difference !
Treats are a sore subject .. I am on a dieet so the only green thing I chew on is what’s left over after mom cut the grass 🙁
Toys ! Yep ! Got a whole room full of them ! I inherited them from my older brother ! He was a toy-freak ! Mom even bought him stuff in Las Vegas and New York !

Hi Miss Poppy. Lily sounds like Dottie! She naps a lot. When she isn’t napping, she mainly just lays by Mom. I wish I was the boss! That would be Dottie, too, although Nigel is pretty bossy. Even Flower bosses me around! So when I don’t want them to boss me, I go under the table or outside away from everyone. Mom says Dottie and Flower need to go on a diet. Sometimes she sneaks extra treats to me and Nigel, though. I was just eating grass this morning! It was good! Who is your older brother? Is he still with you? Mom buys us toys, but we never know what to do with them.
